PEOPLE POWER: Building Social Movements to Protect Public Power in Canada

DVD labelIt is with pride and pleasure that BC Citizens Campaign for Public Power announces the release of its DVD/webcast project PEOPLE POWER: Building Social Movements to Protect Public Power in Canada.

PEOPLE POWER is a six-chapter 50 minute film developed by documentary filmmaker Damien Gillis and produced by the BC Citizens Campaign for Public Power. The film examines the social, economic and environmental issues associated with the private vs. public power issue in Canada. Various strategies for building a grassroots campaign are explored. Each chapter offers a new facet of grassroots organizing strategies to enlighten, encourage, and empower citizens to stand their ground in the fight to save public power and BC’s pristine wilderness.
