The BC Utilities Commission's ruling on BC Hydro's 2008 Long Term Acquision Plan reinforces BCCPP's view that the province has grossly exagerated BC's need for additional electricity. The decision rejects BC Hydro's acquisition plan for private power purchases and potentially represents an opportunity to stop further privatization of our Crown utility by the provincial government.
