Liquid Gold: Are northwest rivers for sale?

NORTH WEST WATCH PRESENTS:
Since 2001, over 700 rivers and streams across British Columbia, and over 100 in the Northwest, have been staked for hydroelectric power development by private corporations. North West Watch invites you and your affiliates to a public forum with guest speakers from Simon Fraser University and Watershed Watch Salmon Society, who will discuss economic, social, and environmental concerns associated with the privatization and deregulation of renewable energy development in BC.
Keynote speaker: Dr. John Calvert - Associate Professor at Simon Fraser University, and the author of Liquid Gold: Energy privatization in British Columbia.
Aaron Hill, from Watershed Watch Salmon Society, will discuss current proposals in the Northwest and deficiencies in the environmental assessment and planning processes.
