Events & Action
Tomorrow, March 26, concerned citizens from across the province will make their voices heard as part of the 10,000 voices for BC Rivers campaign. British Columbians who share your concern about the development of private power on our rivers and streams will join together in writing, phoning, faxing, and emailing the Ministers of Energy, Environment, the Premier and their MLAs to advocate for public power and wild rivers.

In the Media
The Ministers of Energy and Health have refused an invitation to participate in a neutral public forum about the future of electricity production and health care services in BC. The forum was being organized by BC Citizens for Public Power and the BC Health Coalition. Read the media release on this story

Information & Resources
The BC Guardians website is quickly becoming a one-stop location for information and resources on the public vs. private power debate. It includes an extensive resource library of materials related to the BC Energy Plan, deregulation and privatization, energy conservation, sustainable energy solutions, environmental issues, and First Nations considerations. This section also includes manuals and handbooks for community organizers; resources for writing letters to newspapers (editorials) and to politicians (MLAs); tips for effective blogging (web logs), online social networking, and much more.
