Save Our Rivers Society Announces Public Events in Lower Mainland

Save Our Rivers Society is pleased to announce another series of public events to discuss the grave threats to our environment, economy and society posed by the Campbell private energy plan (see private river power backgrounder below for more info).
Save Our Rivers and Official Spokesperson Rafe Mair will be hosting three events in the Lower Mainland in the coming weeks, joining forces with other groups fighting to save our watersheds and historic public energy system - including the Wilderness Committee, the "Take Back the Power" campaign, and the Council of Canadians.
The events will feature presentations, videos, and audience discussion.
Join us in the following communities to learn how you can help protect our rivers and energy security:
Coquitlam - March 17, 7-9 PM: Douglas College (1250 Pinetree Way)
Hosted by the Wilderness Committee and featuring Rafe Mair
Burnaby - March 18, 7:30 - 9:30 PM: Bonsor Recreation Complex
(6550 Bonsor Ave. - near Metrotown Skytrain) Featuring Rafe Mair, Andy Ross from the "Take Back the Power" campaign, the Wilderness Committee, and a video presentation by Damien Gillis
Vancouver - March 22, 7-9 PM:
Unitarian Church (49th & Oak St.)
Featuring Rafe Mair - celebrate World Water Day with us!
New Westminster - March 25, 7-9 PM: Centennial Pavilion
(in Queen's Park - entrance at 6th Ave & 1st Street) Co-hosted by Save Our Rivers, Council of Canadians, and the New West Minster Environmental Partners - featuring Rafe Mair, Joe Foy from the Wilderness Committee and a video presentation by Damien Gillis.
