Privatization of BC Hydro: Real Deal or Real Steal?

Melissa Davis will give an overview of the various environmental, economic, and social issues surrounding the privatization of BC's electricity sector and the proliferation of private power projects throughout BC.

The event will also include a viewing of Power Play, a documentary by Damien Gillis (Save Our Rivers Society) as well as a question and answer period.

Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to send form letters to the Premier.

The event will complement the Council of Canadians National Energy Day (Feb 4th) and their call for a national energy strategy. To that end, attendees will also be able to send
form letters to the Prime Minister demanding a national energy policy.
