The media is a powerful tool that both reflects and shapes public opinion. This has certainly been the case for the BC Citizens Campaign for Public Power. The public vs. private power debate has received widespread print and broadcast media exposure across the province, as well as on both public and local radio and television.
This section of the website includes print media interviews, briefs, editorials, and letters, highlighting the work of BC Citizens for Public Power between 2002 and 2010. Where possible, broadcast media coverage is also made available. The information is listed with most recent articles first and can also be accessed by topic, using the key word search. A more comprehensive media archive on this and associated social, economic, and environmental issues, arranged chronologically and by geographic region, appears on the BC Guardians website.
