West Coast Environmental Law invites you to join us on Monday, January 11th, 2010, as an audience participant at a dialogue on concrete legal and policy solutions for truly clean, green, renewable electricity generation in BC.
-The Yukon Government is working on a policy on IPPs, which could open the door to the privatization of our energy resources.
-Yukoners have until January 29 to voice their issues and concerns to government about IPPs.

Speakers:
Cutting through the rhetoric on both sides of the public/private power debate to really lay out what’s at stake with respect to power generation in BC over the next decade.
The great watersheds of British Columbia's west coast are changing... forever.
This will affect salmon, grizzlies, other wildlife, and local economies that depend on them. It will affect your powe bill and allow foreign control of our rivers.
Government and industry claim it's all "green"...
Come out and see for yourself.
Across BC, our rivers are at risk. A gold rush of poorly-planned, environmentally destructive power projects threatens our wild places and puts the public interest behind corporate profit.
